Bessie Kunath, Eugenia Barbuc, Karim Shuquem and Sarah Julig invite you to join them at their open studios.
Bessie Kunath lives and works in Los Angeles. She holds an M.F.A. in Studio Art from UC Santa Barbara and B.A. in Art and Education from the University of San Francisco. Kunath has actively participated in exhibitions in San Francisco, Orange County and Los Angeles. Kunath is a member of the LA based collective, Manual History Machines.
Eugenia Barbuc is an interdisciplinary artist working in video, film, sculpture and performance. Her work explores queerness and post colonial discourse. She recieved her B.F.A from Otis College of Art.
Building upon a 27 year history as a stage performer and rock singer, Karim Shuquem creates installations, sculptures and prints that have relationships with staging, temporality and process.
Sarah Julig was born in Fairbanks, Alaska, where she grew up watching glaciers melt. She studied art at the Buckminster Fuller Institute in NYC, the University of Alaska, and the University of Lapland in Finland, the University of Alaska, UC Davis, and at the Gyeonggi Ceramics mentoring camp in Korea.
She currently lives and works in Los Angeles.
